Online games?
It may. It depends on the game. Some games store temporary data on your hard drive while you play. however, usually it's not much.
Reply:only if you download the games does it remove space
Reply:your browser buffers some data, of course. Default maximum size is usually around 50MB, which is really not a lot. Most of the games don't use anything close to that.

Does it remove space? -- No, definitely not, those 50MB are allocated for your browser only, and I don't think anything else can/need to use it.
Reply:If you are participating in strictly on-line game it does not take up any computer space. If you have a game that is installed on your computer like Tribes or Call of Duty then when you collaborate on line you will have to constantly download maps and characters and Mod's to stay up to date which does load directly onto you hard drive, usually into a specific folder. Oh just to clarify nothing removes space from your computer it just uses it. It's like furniture in your house. You only have so much room. Some things are larger than others and take up more space. Just as in a computer if you want to get somee more space back then you have to get rid of som stuff.
