If your fond of playing rpg try searching for FLYFF online (Fly for fun) it is a free MMORPG, you will not need a joystick but levelling while interacting with a massive community is a nice way of spending time ^^, you can also try your skills in music (o2jam) dancing (audition jam), golf (pangya online), worms style battle (gunbound) etc ^^,

My friends have recommended Maple Story, and I've heard Rappelz is good.
Failing that, you could always buy Diablo II and Lord Of Destruction, the expansion CD. (which is one of the best computer games on the planet, in my opinion, and which you can also play online with friends).
It's also not that expensive, both CDs together cost me about 20 pounds, and it is well worth it.

I'm going to tell you about RPGs, since that's what I play. If you want puzzle games and stuff like that, try miniclip, addictinggames, yahoo!games or MSN zone. First I'm going to tell you about the browser based MMORPGs, then I'll mention somewhere you can see the downloadable.
To play games in flash, there are Dragon Fable and Adventure Quest (In both you have to pay to have full access to the game, and notice that Dragon Fable is still under construction and that it's hard for non-members to login into AQ). There are also those community based flash games (that some people consider to be MMORPGs) that are becoming really popular: Gaia Online (that I already played and that is really cool), ClubPenguin, PuzzlePirates, and i think that Habbo goes the same way; in all of this games you create an avatar and play games like fishing to get money and personalize those avatars.
There’s also the pure browser based ones: Tibia is a fairly popular game, BiteFight and Knightfight are OK. Travian is a strategy MMOG, also pretty good. There’s also pokemon crater (but it has a lots of publicity) and, my personal favorite, FallenSword (it’s much like pokemoncrater, only that it doesn’t have lots of publicity, and has a guild system that stimulate interaction, not to mention the lottery and the auction system).
The downloadable... well, i think it's harder to speak about them. I'll also give you a link for the "List of free MMORPGs" on wikipedia, where you can see the downloadable games out there (in this list you can read about other browser based MMORPGs as well). Take a look at the websites and check the screenshots, maybe you'll find some that interest you. My favorites are MapleStory, Anarchy Online, Monsters and Me, Flyff and Silk Road. Seems like Rappelz is also pretty good.

If you dont mind spending the money, I would play World of Warcraft. It has awesome graphics its definately interactive with people, you can do just about anything. Hope that helps.

I play a massive online game. and i have alot of friends on there. is it ok to have a lot of friends online or is pathetic? or any advise?

Lol it's fine. We all have weekends where there's nothing to do, or there's bad weather. I've had online friends that I still chat with in AIM and ICQ even after I quit playing the online games with them.
Besides, you never know when you may need some advice from a friend and your best friends are out of town or you're fighting with them.

Over time you do add alot of people and become good friends with them. Playing games all the time is quite sad, and playing them all the time when your an adult, is really pathetic. But playing a friendly online game abit, and making friends over time is perfectly fine, especially when your bored as hell. If you have friends its better than having none, you can never have enough good friends, even if they are just from an online game.
I quit runescape a while back, and from that i must still have a full contact list. And I wasnt a MMORPG freak :S

However, if you play it as a source of entertainment and actually have a life outside of the virtual then I say there is no problem. You need to have real firends not just digital ones.

Iv played WOrld of Warcraft, Runescape, City of Heroes and City of Villains. All of them were great, and WoW was the only game i got to the top of level cap range. Level 60 - I know BC came out, but its still the highest for non-BC owners.
I need a NEW game, something which is being released, or has been released recently? They have to have a good gamepley like WoW, and nice graphics like CoH, and CoV.
Im look at Guild Wars (I know wasnt *just* released, but close enough as its meant to be a good game)

Definitely! There are probably 30+ online games that have unique content creating a virtual world to explore. Typically in these games they are designed to entertain by allowing for the growth of your personalized character in several different ways. They include riches, skills, crafts, gear, and in some cases homes, methods of travel and player versus player strengths and reputations. And that's just to name the basics!
The most popular online game is World of Warcraft, or as it's known, WoW. It is a simpler yet similar version to other games like Everquest 2 and Lord of the Rings Online.
All the games have their strengths and weaknesses and if you want to get into one you should try the free trial that many offer to find the best fit for you.
I do have a couple of warnings. One is that if you want to play some of the newer games you will need a fast computer with lots of RAM as well as a very fast graphics card. The other warning, and one that I would be careful to understand, is that once you become involved in these games they can change your entire life if you let them. You feel very connected to your cyber character. There are entire websites and groups devoted to issues with the over playing of the online games. I know about this personally as we 'lost' my Mom for a couple of years when she discovered Asheron's Call in 2000. The game took over and she would call in sick at work, had secret friends she would call around the country, and spent all her time in the office. She would get upset if we would bug her about playing too much as well. Her online friends had no idea who she really was too! She had concocted a false identity. She told them all she was 26, and even had a picture of 'her' she sent out!
I've played these games too, and I believe in moderation they can be a lot of fun as well as a way to have 'downtime' away from the troubles of real life. Just be careful not to let it take over!
By the way, Asheron's Call will always be my favorite online game, but it's very outdated now. People still play it, but not as many as used to. To play games in flash, there are Dragon Fable and Adventure Quest (In both you have to pay to have full access to the game, and notice that Dragon Fable is still under construction and that it's hard for non-members to login into AQ). There are also those community based flash games (that some people consider to be MMORPGs) that are becoming really popular: Gaia Online (that I already played and that is really cool), ClubPenguin, PuzzlePirates, and i think that Habbo goes the same way; in all of this games you create an avatar and play games like fishing to get money and personalize those avatars.
There’s also the pure browser based ones: Tibia is a fairly popular game, BiteFight and Knightfight are OK. Travian is a strategy MMOG, also pretty good. There’s also pokemon crater (but it has a lots of publicity) and, my personal favorite, FallenSword (it’s much like pokemoncrater, only that it doesn’t have lots of publicity, and has a guild system that stimulate interaction, not to mention the lottery and the auction system).
The downloadable... well, i think it's harder to speak about them. I'll also give you a link for the "List of free MMORPGs" on wikipedia, where you can see the downloadable games out there (in this list you can read about other browser based MMORPGs as well). Take a look at the websites and check the screenshots, maybe you'll find some that interest you. My favorites are MapleStory, Anarchy Online, Monsters and Me, Flyff and Silk Road. Seems like Rappelz is also pretty good.
There are also some really good free downloadable MMORPGs coming out: Sword of the new world (where you can control up to three characters at once - but you'll have to pay so that you can get over a certain level) and the global version of Lunia (it's still on closed beta, but will soon come out - keep an eye on it).

You will encounter dwarves, unicorns, battle, animals, giants, BIG bugs, and much, much more. There is also millsberry. It is my least favorite for multiplayer, because you can't chat. You can send cards through the post office, send packages as well, dress up, design a house, play games, earn millsbucks, and much more. There's also ClubPenguin. In ClubPenguin, you are not a person, not an alien, but a penguin! This is a game where you can chat with other people-well, penguins, send cards, design a home, own a little, furry little puffball (called puffles), earn coins, and, well, throw snowballs at eachover. You can choose what color penguin you want and if you subscribe a membership, you can buy items and clothes for your penguin. After at least 30 days of playing clubpenguin, you can become a secret agent and get a cool teleportation phone. These are all the multiplayer online games I play. Hope you have fun!

I'm going to tell you about RPGs, since that's what I play. If you want puzzle games or something more traditional like board and card games, try miniclip, addictinggames, yahoo!games or MSN zone. First I'm going to tell you about the browser based MMORPGs, then I'll mention somewhere you can see the downloadable.
To play games in flash, there are Dragon Fable and Adventure Quest (In both you have to pay to have full access to the game, and notice that Dragon Fable is still under construction and that it's hard for non-members to login into AQ). There are also those community based flash games (that some people consider to be MMORPGs) that are becoming really popular: Gaia Online (that I already played and that is really cool), ClubPenguin, PuzzlePirates, and i think that Habbo goes the same way; in all of this games you create an avatar and play games like fishing to get money and personalize those avatars.
There’s also the pure browser based ones: Tibia is a fairly popular game, BiteFight and Knightfight are OK. Travian is a strategy MMOG, also pretty good. There’s also pokemon crater (but it has a lots of publicity) and, my personal favorite, FallenSword (it’s much like pokemoncrater, only that it doesn’t have lots of publicity, and has a guild system that stimulate interaction, not to mention the lottery and the auction system).
The downloadable... well, i think it's harder to speak about them. I'll also give you a link for the "List of free MMORPGs" on wikipedia, where you can see the downloadable games out there (in this list you can read about other browser based MMORPGs as well). Take a look at the websites and check the screenshots, maybe you'll find some that interest you. My favorites are MapleStory, Anarchy Online, Monsters and Me, Flyff and Silk Road. Seems like Rappelz is also pretty good.
There are also some really good free downloadable MMORPGs coming out: Sword of the new world (where you can control up to three characters at once - but you'll have to pay so that you can get over a certain level) and the global version of Lunia (it's still on closed beta, but will soon come out - keep an eye on it).

Reply:family feud online party is a riot but you can only play trial version for an hour before paying monthly subscription fee. I absolutley loved my free hour but because I refuse to pay for online games, I am not sure what it would be like long term. (I have to confess though, I have come close to breaking my own rule and paying for the game - another hours trial likely would have had me completely hooked.)

I absolutley loved my free hour but because I refuse to pay for online games, I am not sure what it would be like long term. (I have to confess though, I have come close to breaking my own rule and paying for the game - another hours trial likely would have had me completely hooked.)

Ok, I dont know if anyone has asked this before or not, but ill give it a shot.
Iv played WOrld of Warcraft, Runescape, City of Heroes and City of Villains. All of them were great, and WoW was the only game i got to the top of level cap range. Level 60 - I know BC came out, but its still the highest for non-BC owners.
I need a NEW game, something which is being released, or has been released recently? They have to have a good gamepley like WoW, and nice graphics like CoH, and CoV.
Im look at Guild Wars (I know wasnt *just* released, but close enough as its meant to be a good game)

They include riches, skills, crafts, gear, and in some cases homes, methods of travel and player versus player strengths and reputations. And that's just to name the basics!
The most popular online game is World of Warcraft, or as it's known, WoW. It is a simpler yet similar version to other games like Everquest 2 and Lord of the Rings Online.
All the games have their strengths and weaknesses and if you want to get into one you should try the free trial that many offer to find the best fit for you.
